I am not a fan of Collaborative Writing. I do see how collaborating and shifting stories to two minds is a very good exercise. However, when I write my brain gets fixated on a plot and it never really wants to let go. In light of that, I have trouble discussing ideas with some as I usually don't want to budge. Although, a colleague, Courtney Branch, and I wrote a single syllable story where every word had to be 1 syllable. It was not our best and when we wrote it I was in one of those "Writers block" funks.
We Found a Cave. It’s down by the shore, It’s huge gap let us slip through and see the home to many. The shades were bright and lit up the whole room. We found a snake. It’s frame lay on the floor. The sun shone through the gap we had crawled through. We found a rat, it was fat, it ate too much and it had died. The end of the cave had a rare crack that lead to a new place. This place was full of shocks. We were so shook. We found a new pal. A dog named Tim ran up to us. We pet him. We had to find the one who owned him. Tim weeped for hours with the pain of the ache of his heart. We could sense his pain as he rubbed his nose on us. We fell in to a spot of falls and lakes. The sun hit all with grand charm. Tim was sure the one who owned him was here. Then bees swarmed us as we ran to the back of a rock for a shield. Tim had been hit, he cried for help as we pulled the bee out of Tim’s rear. Once the bees stopped, we all stood up. Ready to face what else would come to rush us. Then we saw a large hill with bright green grass that caught our eyes. Tim barked as he could smell the scent of the one who owned him. We ran by the block to find a man stuck down a rock. With our help, we pulled him out and we saved him. Tim was glad. He barked with joy and licked us both. The End.
