I once wrote a short poem on how to be a Millennial. It was all based off of serious notes I've heard from adults on Millennials. I am sarcastic by nature most of the time and this is one of my only upbeat poems that I find quite funny. I wanted this to shock some people because I know my own mother and grandmother have made these comments as well and I constantly remind my mother why she shouldn't take away someone's tip away because they said the wrong word because they've probably had a hard enough day.

How to Be a Millennial

Start with a phone

Sign into social media

follow all the bad role models,

take some glue, stick it to your face.

Sass mom

Sass dad

Flirt at a young age

Learn the birds and the bees at a younger age.

Sexualize your body with a bra strap

Or a shoulder

Never move out

Complain about college,

about college prices

after all everyone else learned to pay for it.

Always be disrespectful to elders,

but don't give that young waitress a tip because she brought

you water instead of soda.

And last, but not least

Don't forget to destroy the economy.

Best wishes-Non-Millennials.
